P & I Generators Update To ISO 14001 Environment!

ISO 9001 is by far the world's most established quality framework, currently being used by over ¾ million organizations in 161 countries, and sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general.

In addition, it is designed to be compatible with other management systems standards and specifications, such as the ISO 14001 Environment.

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that sets out how we can go about putting in place an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The standard is designed to address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and reducing environmental impact.

To register with ISO 14001 we identify aspects of our business that impact on the environment and understand those environmental laws that are relevant to our situation. The next step is to produce objectives for improvement and a management programme to achieve them, with regular reviews for continual improvement.

P & I Generators is proud to say we care about our affect on the environment and so are registering with ISO 14001.

Dawson Keith

Dawson Keith Ltd were manufacturers of diesel engine powered electrical generating sets together with associated control gear and switchgear. Their generator sets were powered by engines from the major manufacturers, such as Cummins, Rolls-Royce, Dorman, Perkins and Volvo. Special duty sets were powered by Caterpillar, MTU and Ruston engines.

Dawson Keith generator sets were delivered worldwide and a number of oil production platforms around the British coast rely on Dawson Keith emergency generators as a backup to the main gas turbine power generation.
